Any time is Tea Time at Killruddery Tea Room. Here you will find fine teas, great coffee and freshly baked scones, cakes and biscuits.

In the morning we serve Nikki’s pancakes with seasonal fruit compote and highbank apple sauce, our own granola with greek yogurt and compote and freshly baked croissants with our own jams or Lady Meath marmalade.

From noon we serve Kitchen Garden soup, our own Lamb Stew, sausage rolls made from our own pork and open sandwiches made with care. We take pride in the fact that much of our vegetables, salad, fruit and meat as well as rapeseed oil for dressings and cooking are grown here on the estate.

tea2If you would prefer to eat in the picnic area, located within the Walled Garden, then our staff are happy to pack you a picnic from the Tea Room display. You are welcome to bring your own picnic. In the walled garden picnic benches are provided and on busy Garden days a coffee wagon located within the Walled Garden is open serving take away hot and cold drinks.

Ice-cycle – Stop Me and Buy One, our Ice-cream bicycle can often be found adjacent to the Tea Room, on a particularly sunny day it does take advantage of its wheels and is liable to be found anywhere throughout the Gardens or Farm Market, ususally where the most excitement can be found.

Our Tea Room is located within the gardens and therefore requires the normal entrance ticket. We are open weekends in April and October and daily from May 1st to September 30th from 9.30am until 5.30pm.

Nestled against a south facing wall, looking out over the formal gardens to The Little Sugar Loaf we are situated in one of the most idylic locations in Ireland for outdoor dining. We catch the last drop of summer sun. During colder weather it is advisable to wrap up warm as although we provide shelter from the rain, as of yet we have no heated indoor space with the Tea Room.
