The Tea Room

tea2Nestled against a south facing wall, looking out over the formal gardens to The Little Sugar Loaf, we are situated in one of the most idylic locations in Ireland for outdoor dining. We catch the last drop of summer sun. During colder weather it is advisable to wrap up warm as although we provide shelter from the rain, as of yet we have no heated indoor space at the Tea Room. Any time is Tea Time at Killruddery Tea Room. Here you will find fine teas, great coffee and freshly baked scones, cakes and biscuits.

From noon we serve Kitchen Garden soup, sausage rolls made from our own pork and sandwiches made with care. We take pride in the fact that much of our vegetables, salad, fruit and meat as well as rapeseed oil for dressings and cooking are grown here on the Estate. We have introduced compostable cups and plates, as we move towards making the Tea Room more sustainable.

If you would prefer to eat in the picnic area, located within the Walled Garden, you can takeaway all of the delicious food on offer. You are welcome to bring your own picnic. In the walled garden picnic benches are provided and on busy Garden days The Orchard Corner will be open and serving tea, coffee, and light snacks.

Ice-cycle – Stop Me and Buy One, our Ice-cream bicycle can often be found adjacent to the Tea Room, on a particularly sunny day it does take advantage of its wheels and is liable to be found anywhere throughout the Gardens or Farm Market, ususally where the most excitement can be found.

Our Tea Room is located within the gardens and therefore requires the normal entrance ticket. Tea and coffee as well as savoury and sweet bites are available to visitors of the Garden from 10.30am until 5.30pm daily.
