Killruddery is a splendid venue for a wide variety of events. The elegant formal rooms look onto the magnificent south facing 17th century gardens for which the property is so well known. The Orangery was designed and built in 1852 by William Burn after the fashion of the Crystal Palace in London. It houses a collection of exquisite marble statues which depict Cupid and Venus amongst others. Jasmine, passion flower and lemon verbena scent the air and views look south towards the Long Ponds (extant from the original 17th Century landscaping) and west over the 19th Century Parterre complete with pond and cherub fountain. Beyond is the Little Sugar Loaf mountain.
Special event hire at Killruddery includes the formal rooms and the gardens. There is ample car parking in front of the house and good serving areas are provided for catering staff. The grounds of the parklands within view of the house are available for large scale event hire. Marquees can be erected in this area and there is access for service providers. Killruddery is located just south of Dublin, close to the N11 and is less than 1 hour from the airport.
There is local accommodation available in some well known hotels nearby. Please see the links tab for details.
