Group classes take place in the fields and woods of this lovely estate. While Nordic Walking can be done on most surfaces, open parkland is the ultimate surface for learning the technique and this is what is used here.
Class routes are varied to give participants views of the house and gardens and up over the towns of Bray and Greystones. Classes last an hour and a quarter and people can learn the technique alongside those who have had some classes and all can exercise together.
They are a very sociable way to keep fit and also a good way to get to know other people who enjoy exercising outdoors. All that is needed is a pair of runners (waterproof if possible) and loose weatherproof clothing and poles will be supplied. Classes are held at the weekends and during the week by arrangement. Please contact Dairine at 086 1936861 or dnuttall@eircom.net for more information.
Dairine is a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor (Inernational Nordic Walking Association) and a keen hillwalker and would be delighted to help others learn and enjoy this activity.
