Our Victorian Midsummer’s Banquet is on the Move

08/06/2012

Just occasionally there are events in the national calendar that take precedence over everything. For Ireland supporters and sports fans in general, the Euro 2012 Ireland v Spain match on Thursday, June 14th is one such event.

And because we don’t want to put Killruddery fans in a position of having to choose one or the other, we’ve decided to move the date of our Victorian Banquet to our next available time – that’s Friday, June 29th.

The magic that we’ve planned remains the same. There’s the spectacular setting of the glass domed 18th century Orangery with a long communal table set with crisp linens and dressed with Killruddery decorations. Victorian dressed servers will present diners with an array of delicious treats from local food producers including our own very special wood fired, spit roasted Killruddery mutton served with kitchen garden vegetables. We’ll also be serving “Punchy Punches” – a Victorian drink favourite that has also proved a big hit with modern day guests.

If you’re celebrating the Arcadia Festival in Bray then we hope that this new change of date can fit into your plans – it’s another great reason to extend the festivities of that terrific celebration of Bray’s town, people and culture.

We look forward to welcoming you to step back in time for our Victorian Midsummer’s Banquet on Friday, June 29th.
