Regular Activities at Killruddery

Every day at Killruddery we have many different classes and activities going on. Many of them go on all year round even when the Gardens and House are closed. These activities include yoga, painting, hiking, parent & baby class; and crafts. We update this page regularly with information on new and continuing activities.

Me + The Moon – Craft Workshops for Kids – Returns 31st March

Me + the Moon’s mission is to provide an uplifting experience for children in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. At Me and The Moon, creativity is encouraged and nurtured. Our workshops are coordinated by experienced professionals in a safe and structured manner. All the learning and fun is in the making.  Me + the Moon workshops will take place Saturdays 11 to 4pm and Sundays 12 to 5pm in September and October, in the Fruit Room Studio, you can also book a child’s Birthday Party with Me & the Moon at Killruddery. Yoga with Helen Bourke-Barnwell – Returns 31st March

Saturday Mornings kick off with a Sunrise Yoga class with Helen at 9.15am. Helen brings a blend of Kundalini inspired yoga designed to uplift, strengthen, and support the body, mind, and spirit. Sunrise Yoga is open to everyone. The pre-natal class helps maintain a birth fit body and to prepare you physically and mentally for birth. Contact Helen here or at 087 977 1864.

Claphandies – Returns April

Fun, creative weekly classes for babies, wobblers & toddlers with parents / minders. The PlayLabs offer a wonderful start in social play, with activities such as rhyme time, music, movement and age appropriate educational and fun activities. Mikes Hikes

Walk Killruddery estate with “Mikes Hikes”.  Get to know the tracks, trails, and vistas of this beautiful estate, while enjoying an introduction to hiking.  This is a once-a-month event – though the day may vary – and you can reserve your place for the next one, which will be scheduled on the following Meetup webpage.

Dance with Niamh Condron – Returns 31st March

On Saturday Niamh teaches Dance Kaleidoscope for Kids, a fun and energetic class developing  body awareness, coordination and rhythm. For more information or to book a place please visit Niamh’s website.

Squirrel Scramble

Squirrel’s Scramble – Returns 24th March

Squirrel’s Scramble offers exciting fun for all ages. Experience the wonderful natural forest with more than 40 different challenges on 4 different levels (1.5m to 8m) to climb, balance, slide and crawl. Nordic Walking with Dairine

Group classes take place in the fields and woods of this lovely estate. Open parkland is the ideal surface for learning the technique and this is what is used here. Dairine is a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor (International Nordic Walking Association) and a keen hill walker. Classes are held at the weekends and during the week by arrangement.
