Feathers and Falconry at Killruddery House and Gardens
Saturday, 19th May 2012, 12.30pm to 4.30pm
On Saturday, 19th May 2012 We will play host to some very special guests for a bird of prey exhibition and falconry display. On the day there will b
e 12 beautiful birds including falcons, hawks and owls, giving you the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s most fascinating animals. You may also get the chance to impress your friends with a photo of you and your very own bird of prey.
Hosted by Newgrange Falconry from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, there will be a flying display where you will not only get to see these glorious birds in flight, but adults and children alike may also be invited - under strict supervision of course- to participate and interact in the exciting, entertaining and extremely popular display.
Afterwards take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting gardens at Killruddery followed by a relaxing cup of tea and a delicious treat in the delightful tearoom.
So, if you’re looking for something unusual to do on a Saturday afternoon what could be more different than spending some time learning more about our feathered friends?
Normal garden entrance applies at €6.50 for an adult and entry is free for children aged between 3 and 12. Dawn Chorus (National Dawn Chorus Day)

Starting from the forecourt of the main house. A walk around the estate with Enna O'Flynn to experience the wonder of the dawn chorus and learn how to identify the birdsong. The walk last approx two hours and will finish in the Tea rooms where breakfast can be purchased. Please contact info@killruddery.com to register.
