The Picture of Dorian Gray

07/02/2012

Sunday 18 Mar 2012 | 16:30

Mermaid Arts Centre offers you another chance to take afternoon tea with Oscar Wilde’s novella! Back by popular demand to the Orangery, following the sell-out in 2010. Decadent Victorian London: The socialite Lord Henry seduces the boyish and beautiful Dorian Gray, into a double life of pleasure, murder and excess. Unlike Lord Henry, Dorian never ages – only Basil Hallward’s picture portrays his decline into sin and self-destruction. Treat yourself to Afternoon Tea with Wildean wit, when this Gothic masterpiece is narrated and staged by Lord Henry, Basil and Dorian – Gate Theatre regulars, actors Stephen Swift, Michael James Ford and Michael Winder.

“All tickets include a traditional Killruddery Cream Tea with delicious homemade brack, shortbreads and scones serves with cream and a selection of preserves as well as tea and coffee”
